Career Highlights: Google Cloud
During my tenure at Google Cloud, I was fortunate to have two positions within the Creative, Brand & Media team - creative manager and brand manager. As a relatively young and small department, the opportunities to evolve the brand and grow the brand infrastructure were endless. I was able to touch everything from managing customer stories for the brand campaign to authoring a naming playbook to running localization for local brand awareness pushes.
Here are some of the key projects that I was able to be a part of during my two-year contract.
Brand identity refresh
OVERVIEW: Google Cloud’s design language - Cloudstyle - had not been refreshed since its inception in 2018. With the recent evolution of the brand platform, we had the perfect opportunity to also refresh the brand identity to lean into that new work.
MY RESPONSIBILITIES: manage the design refresh workstream with internal creative leads and agency partners; design the process and own the migration efforts of brand guidelines site to new CMS; lead internal comms; manage +10 workstreams to update guidelines, templates, and assets; onboard and train global agency partners and employees
SUCCESS: in Q1, phase 1 of website delivered and launched, 4 new sets of creative guidelines built and distributed, +40 assets built/refreshed and distributed, and 13 global agencies + internal teams trained
The Football Association brand Partnership
OVERVIEW: After signing a 4.5-year partnership deal with The FA in England, we had to develop programs and campaigns around the partnership in order to drive brand awareness and generate sales leads. In just 10 months, we launched 2 campaigns, built the first-ever EMEA customer engagement suite for Cloud, and developed key customer assets (e.g. customer film, ad lobs) for the Next UK event and the 2020 global brand campaign.
MY RESPONSIBILITIES: support development and execution of the marketing strategy; project management of creative deliverables across campaigns and experiences; author and execute on project briefs; client and vendor management; budget tracking; executive and cross-functional comms
SUCCESS: drove +15MM in pipeline and engaged 6k enterprise CxOs
